Refund & Return Policy Guide
Please review the details below before contacting us regarding a refund, return, or cancelation. If you circumstances are not listed, or you wish to have your case considered please email us at: thebfsclosetshop@gmail.com
You have 10 calendar days after the package is marked as 'Delivered' to request a refund or return. The delivery date is recorded with the tracking number provided.
We understand circumstances may happen that stop you from collecting your package immediately. This is the reason we leave a 10 day window. Regardless of how many days it takes you to pick up the package, once marked 'Delivered' the 10 Days will begin. Please speak to your local Post Office if you want to learn more about their specific policies and tracking updates.
Reasons we accept a refund request

If the item you were sent was sent in error, and not the item you ordered.
This may be denied if no photograph is sent to show the discrepancy, and we find no issues with our inventory (example: no missing inventory recorded, after a check is conducted). -
If there is damage that was not reasonably recorded on the listing.
Most of the items we sell are vintage or preloved which means there may be: wear, pilling, stains, minor holes, and shrinking/stretching. This is recorded or noted on the listing, and on our website. If there is a specific issue that is not shown, and effects the integrity of the item we will consider issuing a refund or asking you to return the item, to obtain the refund. -
If the sizing was extremely misrepresented on the listing.
The size misrepresentation must be extreme, and the incorrect measurements were also listed. Photographs of the sizing measurements must be submitted, in order for a refund to be considered. The only circumstance this would happen, is if there was an error in the back end of our coding, there are multiple of one specific item, or the wrong listing was updated by mistake. -
If The Boyfriends Closet gives permission to return an item, and the item is received in the same condition it was originally shipped.
Under no circumstances return a package without prior consent or permission by The Boyfriends Closet directly by email. The only email that can give details and permissions is: thebfsclosetshop@gmail.com
If you send the package without permission, no refund will be issues. - If a circumstance not listed above but is discussed through email, and accepted by The Boyfriends Closet.
Reasons we will not accept a refund.

If the tag on the item is different from the listing size.
In some circumstances we will change the size on the listing, because it is grossly misrepresented by what is labeled on the manufactures tag.
Please always keep in mind, most of what we sell is originally deemed "men's apparel" that we want to market as anyone's apparel. -
If the apparel is over sized or under sized.
We are now listing flat measurements with our listings to help you determine the fit on your own body. We also try our best to list if something will be a different fit based of measurements, style, or original gender definition.

If an item has wear, pilling, stains, or small holes that are noted in photos or the listing.
We do our best to either note the item is "distressed" or has a "discrepancy", add any wear to the details section of the listing, and provide photographs of some/all of the wear. If there are multiple wear discrepancies we may not always list them all if they are minor, but simply note that they are there. If you see a circle on a photo it is highlighting a discrepancy. Some small or minor things do go unnoted / unnoticed, but in that circumstance they are minor and are not acceptable to be returned or refunded. - If you changed your mind or had a change of heart.
We will not issue a refund if you no longer want the item(s) you ordered. You can cancel within 24 hours after purchase by emailing us at: thebfsclosetshop@gmail.com to request a cancellation. This may be denied if the order is already posted in the mail. All cancellations are reviewed and decided by The Boyfriends Closet, and they have the final decision. - If your package is lost or damaged during mailing.

If you have accidently checked out with an item in error, email us within 24 hours of that purchase. The item can be cancelled and refunded if it has not yet been posted in the mail. All cancellations are decided by They Boyfriends Closet, and they have the final decision. - If it has been more then 10 calendar days since the package was delivered.
If you contact us after the package was marked 'Delivered' through the tracking number, and it has been more then 10 calendar days we will not accept a return or issue a refund. - If the information required to determine a refund/return is not given.

If you email us to apply for a refund, and do not provide enough information or any information we will ask for the required details and photos. If you do not respond to our reply within 5 calendar days, we will not accept a return or issue a refund.

We do not offer exchanges. - If you send a package to any listed addresses, or unlisted addresses without the previous permission from The Boyfriends Closet.

Reasons we may automatically issue you a refund.

If there is an error with our inventory system, and the item you purchased is no longer in stock.
If this is a vintage or preloved item we will automatically cancel that single item, and issue you a refund for that single item.
If the item is new (not used) or a new Our Brand design, we will email you asking if you'd like to swap for a different variant of the same product. If you do not wish to swap, then we will cancel that single item and issue you a refund for that single item.
If no email is left when checking out, we will not be able to contact you and will cancel / refund that single item. We will not send a follow up email as there is no way of doing so. - If we receive fraudulent activity notification from a third party, or a bank.

If there is an unresolvable issue and you have not left a contact number or email.
In this case there is no way to contact you about your order. We do recommend you leave some form of contact information. If you do not wish to receive any correspondence from us in the future, simply unsubscribe from our emails. - If we have previously noted an issue under the given name, address, or email.
- If the person contacting us, is not listed in our customer details. Or is contacting us on behalf of the customer listed.

The Boyfriends Closet will issue a refund within 3 working days after approval is sent by email.

NOTE: We understand every circumstance is different, or that you may feel some of our guidelines to be strict or unfair. We are a small business, and these guidelines are set in place to protect ourselves and others from being taken advantage of, fraudulent activity, and unneeded loss. It is not our goal to deny everyone from a return or refund.
